Smart grid energy efficiency vendor evaluating the Japan market with StrategyCore
Building and facilities management solution to enter the Japan market
Tokyo, Japan
October 8th, 2010 - A letter-of-intent (LOI) has been signed with an innovative energy efficiency start-up that makes commercial and residential buildings lower their electricity and power consumption.
With Japanese government regulation requiring an audit of every building's yearly electrical usage from 2010, the market may need an extensible, easy to install and run technology solution that will save building owners 10-20% of their yearly electricity costs while giving them full analysis and visibility into each building's utilities usage.
Japan is well-known for its pricey commercial real estate, high electricity costs, and advanced building controls technology. Upon further evaluation of the market opportunity and requirements by both parties, we intend to finalize an agreement for exclusive representation of the client's cloud delivered, smart grid, energy efficiency solution in Japan.
