Sourcing tool to focus on suppliers of indirect goods and services
February 15, 2012 - Japan’s largest retailer has chosen a global electronic sourcing tool delivered over the Internet as a cloud service. Previously using another competitor tool, the global retailer chose StrategyCore’s client software and services due to its overall strengths and capabilities in sourcing products and services in over 100 countries and 15 languages.
With Asia Pacific retail opportunities growing rapidly in China and Southeast Asia, the Japanese retailer was interested in an online tool which they could source products, through a detailed RFx process across each country in which they run retail facilities.
Initial first year phase of the deployment of this Sourcing tool will be dedicated to domestic and international adoption and education, with expansion coverage for sourcing indirect supplies in other countries by year two. Sold as a yearly subscription, the Sourcing tool can save clients 10% to 40% of spend depending on product or services category.
